It offers explosive expansion on varmints and small game at velocities achievable with the full range of 30 caliber cartridges. This is an ideal bullet to choose for off-season practice on varmints with any 30 caliber hunting rifle.

 Sierra 30 Cal Varminting Bullets

I have been patiently waiting for over a year for these bullets to reappear on the shelves.
Thank you Sierra for producing these excellent projectiles. Also, thank you Grafs.com for offering them at a good price.
These bullets perform exactly as advertised. They are absolutely devastating on thin skinned varmints.
I load these for 308 and 30-06. I deer hunt with 150gr flat based bullets. By loading same weight and shape of bullet I can use the same custom load recipe with no need to re-zero my optics. The second benefit of using these bullets is the greater weight compared to the normal 110gr or 125gr Varmint Bullets. Those faster, lighter, zippier bullets are great for shorter ranges out to say 300yds where wind has less affect on accuracy. But for those longer ranges I prefer the extra mass that translates into greater downrange energy and accuracy.
