Due to the packaging and shipping process, case necks are often slightly dinged or bent and need to be rounded up and sized to give proper neck tension. New and/or fired cases must be full-length resized or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck prior to loading.

Brass Not Length Shown

By Jeanette R. on Apr 23, 2023
Disappointed with this brass. Uniform 2.86" and not the 2.89" shown. Maybe nit-picky for some, but I wanted this extra length for my .450 Watts.

Peterson H&H Belted Wildcat Tubes

By Ronald B. on Mar 17, 2023
Most uniform brass I ever measured for length and weight new, unfired, right out of the factory box.
Sample of 10:
Length mean was 2.8614" and all were within 2.861" to 2.862".
Weight mean was 254.0 gr., ranged from low of 253.1 to high of 254.6 grains.
Any variation noted might be as much due to my measurement instruments as to the brass.
Prettiest brass too. Nicely annealed at neck then polished shiny for delivery.
Sectioning of a couple of cases showed thicker head than any other case I have sectioned (W-W, R-P, Hornady, Norma) but usual case wall thicknesses above the base at 1-1/4" and 2-1/4" from base and at case mouth: 0.018", 0.011", and 0.010" respectively.
Fire-forming is pending, with normal starting load.
I reckon it will take less powder than my usual max loads to give same or better results with the Peterson brass.
I also reckon the Peterson brass will outlast other makes in number of reloads possible.
