Inherently accurate with excellent terminal performance

The bullets are basically just hard cast lead with very thick plating. You wind up with a very concentric bullet that has all of the benefits of both cast and jacketed bullets. They deform, but they hold together and penetrate deeper. They aren’t held back by a thick jacket, but they can go fast without leading a bore. The Speer website has all the data you’ll need. The 2000MR load for 308 will do whatever you need. They don’t have the BC of a match or ELR bullet but for most hunters who cares about that. Are you really taking 600YD shots at elk because I’m not.

150 gr Gold Dot .308 Bullet

I bought these to build some 300 Blackout loads for my new 7 inch upper, which was probably not the ideal platform for this bullet. Since I also have a AR10 I figured I could use these in that gun as well. Imagine my surprise when I dropped 2 into the same hole at 25 yards while I was adjusting the sights on my pistol ! I've since bought some 110's for the BO but these should be perfect for my .308 for either hunting or self defense. Speer makes one specifically for 300 blackout but can't find them anywhere, unfortunately.

As always Speer doesn’t disappoint. These 150 grainers’ performance on deer is flawless. Outstanding weight retention, and deep penetration. My “go to” bullet in 308 Winchester for deer and larger game. I’m still impressed with the weight retention. Great product Speer!
