Due to the packaging and shipping process, case necks are often slightly dinged or bent and need to be rounded up and sized to give proper neck tension. New and/or fired cases must be full-length resized or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck prior to loading.

Peterson large rifle primer brass 5 stars

By Grover H. on Mar 04, 2024
Graff and sons is one of the best places to get Peterson brass.
Not all places carry Peterson
I love that it comes annealed Peterson brass is very consistent in weight and volume, nicely made and comes packaged in a reusable plastic ammo storage box not loose in a cardboard box that can damage the brass during shipping. Very happy with the brass and would purchase it again.
All of these features adds up to smaller groups down range

Perfect as Usual

308 Win Brass

By Gary P. on Nov 23, 2023
I haven't had time to use it, yet. It looks OK and my measurements indicate that Peterson puts effort in getting it that way.

The way Peterson packages this product assures that it will arrive to the end user in excellent condition; no case dents, no neck dings, etc.

I strongly suggest that one does not use USPS. They originally stated delivery on the 10th. I did not get delivery until the 18th. But, that's on me for not making a wise choice.

Superior Brass

The only brass I buy . I stock this for every cartridge I reload for .That should say it all.

Great service and prompt shipping.
The brass is beautiful love that it comes in its own box. I only loaded a few so far. Working my way up towards my normal case loads. Looks good so far. Shoots great also.
Can’t wait to shoot more.

Perfect again

It still blows me away. The care these folks take in packaging the brass itself. Just happy we have a company that takes so much pride!

Great Brass

By JOHN N. on Nov 22, 2020
I have been using the Peterson 308 SRP brass for over a year and just wanted to try the LRP brass side by side. Just out of the box I can't ask for better. I have not loaded the LRP brass yet but if it shoots as well as the SRP brass I will be very happy. :-)

Peterson Brass 308

By Mark S. on Oct 30, 2020
Bought on basis of recommendation of person whose opinion I trust. Likely a decent replacement for Lapua brass and better than Starline 308 and RP or Peters. Is an empirical question to be determined with out load for 308 and one of my more accurate M1As. Glad Grafs had it and shipped it quickly. Will update after testing.

Best in the business

By Mike M. on Oct 30, 2020
Consistent, precise, and USA made! THE best brass I have used. The first thing I do with new brass is look at the primer pockets and flash hole. These are as near to perfect as you can get out of the box. I spend so much less time prepping brass and fixing run out and neck tension issues. It is so nice to load 'em and shoot 'em. That is, after all, the whole point.

Peterson 308 brass

By John M. on Aug 07, 2020
Best 308 brass I have ever used. Necks don’t need checking for consistency. Weight varies minimally. This is great brass and for a competitive price compared to Lapua or Norma.

Quality brass

By Charles N. on Aug 06, 2020
This is very nice brass, you can tell it is quality and well worth it for a bolt gun.

Match grade top of the line brass!

By Jeffrey W. on Jul 13, 2020
This is excellent, high quality, match grade brass. Perfectly annealed and great consistency between pieces. Petersen is my go to match grade brass (6.5 Creedmoor, 308 Winchester, 338 Lapua Magnum). If you’re looking to buy the best, buy Petersen brass!

consistent brass

By Robert P. on Oct 18, 2019
Most consistent brass I have seen yet. Weighing and checking volumes are very consistent. Worth the little extra for the longevity also.

308 brass

Peterson 308 Win Brass

By Jerry N. on Jun 11, 2019
The Peterson brass was all very similar in weight, concentric and ready to load. the capacity was about 2% less than Starline brass so working up a new load. first impressions are great with this brass ordered 150 more!

Peterson brass

High quality brass..have reloaded them several times now.
Very consistent..very impressive!

Good stuff

By Timothy M. on Jun 07, 2019
Bought 150 pieces of this 308 Peterson brass. All cases came good to go, and ready to load. Coming from hornady, so I was shocked to see all of my LOADED rounds within 1gr weight of each other!

More importantly, Grafs had my order shipped out the same day. Nothing I like more than supporting businesses that take pride in their service. They even threw in a 10 pack of targets and a flashlight/lantern free of charge!

308 brass, very good, by Oren B, 6-3-19

By Oren B. on Jun 03, 2019
Peterson brass, in my experience with 338 Lapua and 308 Winchester is superior to other brands I have tried. I am getting the results on the range that I have been looking for. I seem to be having fewer case failures and more reloads. I did notice that it took a lot of force to set primers in cases the first time.

Some of the best

By Richard C. on Apr 06, 2019
This is the most consistent cases i have used, the case with accompanied them isn’t super duty but works well. Best two groups i have shot to date was using these cases. .41” and .344” three shot groups at 300 yards. No complaints here whatsoever 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Most consistant brass I have seen

By Donald L. on Feb 14, 2019
Have used all brands of brass and normally size, uniform primer pockets, deburr flash holes, neck turn, weight sort, shoot once, and resize before getting serious about group sizes. Shot this brass without any prep. and achieved consistent 0.5 inch 100 yard 3-shot groups in .308 hunting rifle with hunting bullets. Bargain price for the quality received!

Quality brass

By David L. on Dec 14, 2018
My trial run buying Peterson brass. Needless to say I’m not disappointed.

Weighed all 50 brass. Only 1/50 was 1 grain heavier than the rest. Primer pockets were perfect.

Neck thickness was between 0.014 and 0.015 for all 50 cases.

Plan on buying more.

Excellent Quality! Buy It

By Mark C. on Nov 16, 2018
I have found Peterson brass to easily rival Lapua brass. Very consistent weight and length. Flash holes have all been perfect with no burrs or abnormalities. The brass is really ready to load. Necks nicely annealed and all sized to ID of 0.305". Necks are inside and outside chamfered. Boxed in an ammo box with foam filler so brass can't move during shipping. Tremendous value. Especially considering they offer small primer options on their brass. All calibers I have used have been excellent. I won't be using Lapua if Peterson has the caliber I need. Buy some - you won't be sorry.

Great Brass - Try It

By Mark C. on Nov 16, 2018
Since I have discovered Peterson brass, I have not purchased any more Lapua brass. Peterson brass easily rivals Lapua for quality and consistency. VERY consistent weights and dimensions. This brass is ready to load. It comes annealed, sized, chamfered inside and out in an ammo box. Flash holes all have had no defects or burrs. There is a foam piece to keep the brass from moving around. Highly recommend you try Peterson. Most calibers give you the choice of large or small primer pockets. I have used 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .308 Winchester. Buy some!

the best brass ever i can't wait to try them

Great brass

By Blair H. on Oct 02, 2018
Peterson brass is great brass... very uniform... comes trimmed and beveled. Comes in a 50 round plastic, hinged ammo box. Have been using it for a while now and will continue.

Excellent brass

By Jimmy H. on Aug 20, 2018
Bought 150 to use for testing and competition. Brass showed up in nice boxes of 50 each. Checked lot numbers and all were the same. Checked random 50 cases for weight. All were within half a grain. Nicely annealled neck and shoulders. Full length sized and neck sized. Had one group of my load test shoot a cloverleaf 5 shot group at 200 yards. Loaded 20 of this load to verify. Same results. Will definitely buy more.
