Works OK for my 303

By Cecil B. on Mar 18, 2020
A cast bullet for a rifle is a crap shoot, but these were as accurate as the old rifle was anyway.

My gun just does not work with these.

Nothing against Grafs. Just these bullets would not work im my 91/30. It's tack driver with jacketed and copper plated. Just cast is a no go. Tried all kinds of powders and charges.

Missouri Coated Bullets

These bullets work great in the right type of rifle (Nagant, SKS) with clean rifling of .310 to .312 diameter and of course the correct twist. My Nagant(s) have great barrels and have rifling deep enough to help navigate these bullets accurately. Tested in my SKS (7.62X39) in high velocity and they could only maintain a 10" target profile at 50 yards. Rifling here is .314 with a bore of .310. Tested in sub sonic applications (1:10) in the SKS and worked better. At 990 fps the accuracy increased and the bullet had respectable expansion.

bought a box from my friends at Graf & son my go to place. I played with seating depths, powders, loads, crimping for months now. even used "The Load" and shot them from M-39's, ex-dragoon's, 91/30's, M-44 with good .310" to .312" bores. As the review above says my groups where like a shotgun :( going to make ingots from them. Something not right in my opinion with these?

Missouri Bullets

Groups looked liked a shotgun pattern through my 91/30 with trail boss powder! A lot of leading! Added Lee Alox Lube & used Unique powder, the groups were ok, like my cast bullets through this gun! Never will buy them again!!
