not perfect but good.

I have a love hate relationship with these presses. I have bought and sold two and now bought a third.They feel somewhat cheaply made. BUT they haven't broken on me and they can make good high quality ammo on par with win/ Rem etc. I prefer the roller handles that do work but do not mount up solid and they have play on all 3 examples I have had. The plastic parts surprisingly do last and I have never broken them. you do have to tune in the press to get it working right (see you tube). Also buy the safety prime system for it. it does work once tuned and you get familiar with it. The turret is timed to a ball detent using the piece in the top of the rotating rod and a wrench on the shaft. all in all I do recommend it if your willing to spend a few minutes tuning it.

Got this on sale at Black Friday and can’t believe how solid it is. The turrets save a huge amount of time, the press feels overbuilt like a tank and the price seems like throwback to the good old days. Great using the auto index, or take out the indexing rod and use as a manual turret.

You will never find a better value for the money. This bridges the gap between a single stage and progressive press. The 4-hole turret system is easy to switch out die sets without needing to adjust your dies and extra turrets are cheap. There are a few parts made out of plastic that I would like to see made out of aluminium, but it still gets the job done.

My first press, 40+ years ago, was a Lee Challenger single stage press. I got it because it was the cheapest press available. I got my money's worth, but ended up breaking it's aluminum frame resizing 30.06 brass. I replaced that with a 70 yr old iron single stage press, and only recently passed that down to my son-in-law. I replaced that with a Lyman 8-stage turret press, which I do like. However, having several thousand rounds to reload, I wanted something faster, without going to a progressive press. I read up on the Lee Classic Turret Press, and watched lots of videos about it. I was quite impressed at how far Lee has improved their quality over the decades. I shopped around to see who had the best deals on it, and the accessories that go with it, and Graf's was #1. I called Graf's after putting together a shopping list of what I wanted, and their helpful staff told me that I had pretty much all I would need on my list. I called Lee, to ask some questions lingering in my mind, and they were very helpful as well. I placed my order, and it arrived quickly, packed well and I was a happy camper! I have only just begun setting it up, and haven't loaded with it yet, but am confident it will work out just fine. As a Missourian, I am proud to buy from Graf's, who are honest, hardworking Missourians as well. The last few orders I have placed with Graf's, they went above and beyond with their quality of order-packing, and I am grateful for that! They have a customer for life in me!
Solid Press That Speeds Up Reloading

I wanted to speed up my reloading and decided to try this Lee press. I have a Redding T7 but thought the Lee may save some time with its auto indexing feature. It does! I reload 38 and 45LC for cowboy action shooting and it does a great job with those two calibers. My setup is to run the sizing die with Lee safety prime, expander with Lee auto drum, a Hornady powder cop, and the seater/crimper. I am able to crank out ammo significantly faster than using my T7. Bumping the turret every time on the T7 isn't a huge deal but that time does add up and is very noticeable when I changed to the Lee.
The only negative I have so far is that I wish it had 5 stations so I could use the powder cop and a separate crimp die.
I still use the T7 for larger rifle cartridges but the Lee is a fantastic press for the price.
Speeds things up

Very solidly constructed. Speeds things up enough for me. I don't reload or shoot enough to justify a progressive and I like that I can switch calibers easily and quickly and don't need separate presses for each caliber.

Lee 4 hole turret

I bought this press to replace my 30 year old 3 hole turret press which has and still serves me well. The extra hole is a time saver. This is my second 4 holer from Lee and I've been using the first one for 5 or 6 years with zero problems. It is a pretty stout press and loads great ammo. I use the auto advance for pistol cartridges and for the rifles I turn the turret by hand. The primer catcher is fantastic. I would highly recommend this press to a beginner and seasoned reloader as well. You can go fast or go slow, me I'm slow and steady! The price from Grafs is very nice too!

I recently ordered and received from Graf & Sons the Lee Classic Turret Press. In the past I have always utilized other major brands of reloading equipment and was somewhat skeptical of Lee products.. Upon receipt of the Lee press I was very favorably impressed with the apparent sturdy frame and smooth mechanical function of the turret mechanism. Durability and machine tolerances appear to meet or exceed expectations. I am looking forward to many years of enjoyable reloading sessions with this equipment.

After nearly a decade of loading on a Lee Breechlock Challenger single -stage press, I decided to upgrade to the Lee Classic Turret press. This press makes loading SO much faster. I simply love the ability to have my die sets ready in turrets and then I can set up and go and create loaded ammo quickly and easily. Years of learning on the single-stage allow me to understand the processes involved with setting up the Turret press, but even if I was a total newbie, it would be easy to do. This is a solid piece of equipment and it JUST WORKS.

I bought this press to increase my total rounds loaded numbers. All I have ever owned was a single stage press. WOW, what an upgrade! This press works awesome. It makes reloading faster and simpler. The spent primers fall straight from the ram, through the plastic tubing and into the trash. It also has the ability to add additional attachments for powder dropping and primer seating. This makes reloading a lot more fun and quicker, while still maintaining consistent accuracy.

This is my first step into rifle and pistol cartridge reloading. The Lee Classic Turret Press seems very well made and was very easy to set up. My first 32 S&W reloads were very good and performed well. My first rifle reloads for a 303 British Enfield look great. I really like having the extra turrets to have the dies setup in place for the various reloads. Great Press!

As others have said here. I shied away from it for a long time. This cast iron frame model with all steel linkage is built like a tank. The versatility is there for virtually any loading method. I polished the index rod with a scotch-bright pad and keep the turret ring lubed with a very light coat of Pro-Shot Gold gun grease applied with an artists brush. Cycles like glass. Currently using it to load 9mm with an Auto-Disk measure. The quick change turrets and non-indexing option just adds to the versatility of this wonderful, reasonably priced press. Thank you Lee!
Why did I wait so long?

I finally upgraded from my single-stage press to this baby, and what a difference. Once you have your dies setup you're good to go. Even if you manually dump your powder, it's waaay faster to produce a finished round. Add Lee's Auto Drum powder measure and Safety Prime system and you are gold.
The right choice

I`ve been tossing around upgrading from a single stage press for some time and after quite a bit of research settled on the Classic Turret. For the price and features I made the right choice. I bought extra turrets and changing calibers takes seconds. I can`t believe how presicion,solid and smooth this press is compared to more expensive models and the turret auto indexes perfectly and locks solid with no effort. I really like how easy it is to still use it as a single stage when working up a load but not have to change dies, just simply rotate the turret by hand. I`m very very happy with my new press.

I have had the pleasure of owning this awesome reloading press I just can't stress enough that the Lee Classic Turret is the best turret press on the market I just got mine in yesterday. i have been waiting for almost five months, believe me its worth the waiting. The Lee Classic Turret has so many features that come standard. it makes no sense to even spend a penny more for any other press made on the market. this press has a massive cast iron base and once you mount it down, the fun can begin. Look no further the Lee Classic is the best way to go
Sped things up significantly

After starting to shoot action pistol sports I decided to upgrade from a single stage press to the Lee Classic Turret Press. Outstanding decision. Coupled with the Safety Prime, but still using a bench-mounted Lee Perfect Powder Measure and a scale to weigh each load I can do 50 each 9mm rounds in just under 20 minutes. I had a little problem setting up the Safety Prime, but Lee's Technical Help was friendly and got me in the right direction. Highly recommended.

I've used a single stage for years and bought a Classic Turret last year.This is one great press.Solid as a rock. I originally bought it for reloading pistol ammo but like it so well I use it for almost everything. The spent primer system doesn't miss either.
