Due to the packaging and shipping process, case necks are often slightly dinged or bent and need to be rounded up and sized to give proper neck tension. New and/or fired cases must be full-length resized or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck prior to loading.

Trusted

I have been reloading for 30 years and even though Winchester brass is cheaper, I have never had any problems with it. It has done just as good of a job as the other brands costing twice as much.

Good Value

Had one split neck out of 101 total cases. To me that was totally acceptable considering the price. I have used the Winchester brass for years without a complaint. Other than the initial work required for new cases, this brass is as good as any of the more expensive brands. I will continue to buy Winchester brass.

Worked fine for me

I have read negative reviews in the past about Winchester brass. Yes, it's not Lapua or Norma, but for the price, I found my 150 rounds to be fine. Had to discard only 1 piece, due to a groove in the neck. I always neck size, trim to length, and chamfer all my new bottleneck brass.

Not very high quality

Out of 50 I had to throw away one for a split neck and four with rolled in case mouths. I bought these because they weren’t laughably overpriced, but won’t buy again.

Poor QC

I recently purchased 3 bags of new, Winchester brand 338 Win. Mag. brass (150 pieces). Out of the 150 pieces I found 3 three cases with split necks and 2 pieces with folds at the base of the necks. That's a pretty bad failure rate in my book.

Very sturdy brass...

Uniform belt thickness, not common to all brands. Works well with a wide variety of bullet weights and velocity levels.

Always great

I have been using this brass for 25 years. I get higher velocities with less pressure and recoil from this than Remington brass.
I neck size for about 3 or 4 times and then full length size. I never throw cases out. I Do have a lot of rounds preloaded and shoot the others. Great product.
