Due to the packaging and shipping process, case necks are often slightly dinged or bent and need to be rounded up and sized to give proper neck tension. New and/or fired cases must be full-length resized or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck prior to loading.

300 wsm brass

bought 150 pieces
90% needed trimmed for length
9 were shorter than length spec
1 neck was flawed and case discarded
2 necks split during sizing and were discarded , i have only had this happen before with old used brass never with new brass
i trim for length by hand with a lee length gauge and case trimmer so this was a bit tedious , if you had a power trimmer you might like this brass better than if you don't

it was cheaper and you had supposedly in house but it did take a couple weeks for it to show up, not a hardship this time and could be explained by covid-19 affected about everything we do

Recently I've found Winchester Brand of 300wsm brass to be priced better than others and the quality seems as good as brands for which I've paid more, perhaps they promote it as it's their cartridge?
