Because much of the market for this caliber is long-distance competition shooters Peterson designed these casings with Small Rifle Primer pockets.

But when we designed the tool pack to make the .25 Creedmoor we went one step further and created the ideal neck wall thickness. As you might imagine, when a handloader necks down a larger caliber it can result in a neck wall that is a bit too thick. Necking up a smaller caliber can result in a neck wall that is a bit too thin. We designed Peterson .25 Creedmoor from scratch, with the ideal neck wall thickness,”
