PPU rifle ammunition can come in for a bit of a bad rap. Some rifles don't like it. The packaging is flimsy. The OEM primers are relatively hard Ginex - like CCI 34s - designed to resist slam-fires etc. And of course, it is amongst the least expensive which also makes people wary.
Do not let this fool you into thinking that the brass is low quality - it stands up considerably better than the S&B/Winchester brass.

I have shot PPU loaded ammo and reloaded the brass and have bought the PPU brass and in both cases they reload great with no problems. I like PPU brass better than most other brands.

I have ben reloading for 20 years and this is my first experience with PPU brass, it seems to be as good as any other i`ve tried, good quality, consistent in case length and sizing. Plus, the price is reasonable and Graf`s is a good company to deal with. I`ll be buying from them again soon!

Great Brass for 8x50 Austrian Mannlicher Parent Case

This is the easiest case conversion I have done to make obsolete 8x50 Austrian Mannlicher for my unconverted Steyr M95. It's already annealed, too, so I just run it through my CH4D FL die and go to town for the first loading. This is thinner than the dedicated brass which allows the use of PPU's .330 bullet (which Graf's also carries!) and chamber just fine in my example.

So glad to finally get some boxer brass no more scrubbing salt out of my barrel and now I can neck size for better accuracy and longer brass life I get more reloads out of Prvi brass than any other makers brass that I have used over the years

I use this in a PSL which beats up the brass more than any other rifle I have. This stuff holds up incredibly well. I have been buying PPU for a long time from Graf and it always works well. I also use PPU in other calibers that I can shoot sub MOA with. Yes you can spend more but why. Sort it by weight and chamfer the inside of the primer pocket and IMHO its just as good as the stuff that costs 2 times more.

I bought two bags of this brass to load with Sierra 174gr HPBT. Case length was very consistent and didn't need to perform any trimming after they were resized out of the bag.

298/300 is a good count, but I’m sure they wouldn’t have sent it if I only paid 99%. It’s a little disappointing.
They are good quality and loaded well. I’m obviously just annoyed with the shortage because I’m obsessed with even 100’s when I load and it’s better to be a few over than a few under.

High quality brass at a great price! It’s hard to beat the PPU cases in my opinion, they are always packaged well and I have yet to run across a defective case. I typically use PPU brass for hand loads not only in 7.62x54r but also .303 British, 7.62x39, and .300 AAC. Graf & Sons has great prices, especially for harder to find cases like 7.62x54r and .303 British.

Great brass for reloading, Used this brass for my Mosins. Hand loaded this brass upto 8 times before noticing stress marks. Can't go wrong using this.

This is quality brass. Although commercially loaded ammunition is available for this caliber, when firing it in older firearms, I prefer to do my own reloading. This brass is just the ticket for such activity. Additionally, I can manufacture cartridges for an old 1870 Austrian pistol using the brass.

I use PPU Brass for all my hard to find calibers. It holds up well and is a good value. As the description mentions though, it is a good idea to run through the sizing die the first time as some of the necks will get dinged a bit in shipping.

This brass is a good value and I will definitely buy more when needed. That said, make sure you inspect the primer flash holes. I had a decent amount of them across 2 bags that needed to be cleaned up due to burrs from the punch and some holes just not opened up enough. If left alone, they definitely could have affected precision potential.

I've bought hundreds of the over the last few years. Good, consistent cases. Have yet to come across one that is deformed in some way.
One thing of possible interest is they measure 2.101, which is a bit short of minimum trim length recommendations in manuals. This has not been an issue for me.

This brass works and Cycles very well on The Romanian PSL. I have to do my reloads since I don't like surplus ammo , because of corrosive berdan primers. Plus the price is very good and it's a great product from PPU.

I purchased 2 bags of 50 of this brass. Turn around time from Graf was excellent and purchase time to on my doorstep was 3 days. I was glad to find that both bags were from the same lot, PPU 1703. I began inspecting the brass and measuring the length of each piece. Out of the hundred, 80 pieces had a length of 2.099” +/- 0.0005”, 15 pieces had a length of 2.101” +/- 0.0005”, 3 had a length of 2.104” +/- 0.0005”, and 2 had a length of 2.096”. This means that 95 out of 100 had a length deviation of 0.002” and the entire 100 had a deviation of only 0.008”. Although Graf has a disclaimer about the ‘shipping and handling process can cause damage’, I found zero physical defects. I will definitely purchase brass from this company again and will consider other calibers as well in the future. Hope this helps someone.

I've been buying PPU bullets and brass for years. As long as full resize before use I didn't have any problems. The bass is good and easy to cut to length. For the value, you can't beat the price either.
I recommend PPU brass.
