Hornady Lock-N-Load Auto Progressive Reloading Press
Hornady’s Lock-N-Load AP is an automatic, five-station press with the most user-adaptable and innovative patented quick tool change technology of all progressive presses. Our system switches dies, powder dies, check dies, bullet seaters or crimp dies without having to change the whole die head. Change one die or all with one quick twist. The Lock-N-Load AP comes complete with a full-size Lock-N-Load Powder Measure that will load anything from pistols up through most magnum rifle cartridges. The Lock-N-Load AP also includes a case activated powder drop, cartridge catcher and extra bushings. Also features case activated powder drop and automatic indexing. Dies and shellplates sold separately.
LOCK-N-LOAD POWDER MEASURE
The only system that uses a full size powder measure that can be reset to another charge or powder with the push of a button. The unique inserts can be preset to the charge you use with the caliber you are loading. The most flexible (and economical) powder system available for progressive presses.
The primer slide in the shell carrier receives a primer at the top of the stroke and inserts in the case at the bottom of the stroke. The slide stays in perfect alignment, and is easily changed from large to small. Use the included primer pick-up tubes (large and small) to fill the primer tube.
LOCK-N-LOAD BUSHING SYSTEM
Switch dies from one caliber to another or change out die stations and begin reloading again in seconds. Once set, dies never needs readjusting. Bushing locks standard 7/8"-14 dies rock-solid in perfect alignment.
CASE ACTIVATED POWDER DROP
Get a charge of powder only when a cartridge is in place. Works with any cartridge, pistol to magnum rifle. Can be manually operated to check powder charge. Install the optional Lock-N-Load powder die for the fastest changeover of all progressive presses. Also fits RCBS measurer.
FIVE-STATION DIE PLATFORM
Five stations allow for all the variables and still let you use your standard dies most 7/8"-14 dies and 7/8"-14 powder measures will work.
Cases are automatically ejected into the included case catcher.
This very important feature automatically advances shells to the next station with the smoothest indexing of any press in this price range, and rotates every half stroke to lessen the chance of powder spillage.
Quickly and easily remove and/or replace a case from the shell plate at any point in the cycle without extra retaining buttons. Case retainer fits all calibers.
LARGE CARTRIDGE CATCHER
A large capacity catcher comes standard with the L-N-L AP Press. An extra large capacity catcher which holds up to 1/3 more completed cartridges is available as an option.
*Note: Shell plates have been re-designed for case ejection. We added a chamfer that allows cases to move easily in and out of the shell plate.

This press is unsurpassed. The Lock n Load system makes repeating loads easy. I have sold 3 friends on this press.

The LNL AP takes some adjustment when you first start the reloading but once it is adjusted, it really makes a world of difference.

Very pleased with the way this press works. Solid design that produces excellent and consistent cartridges. I'm loading 9mm currently and with the LnL bushings it will be easy to add other calibers. Initial setup was straightforward and turning out a few hundred rounds per hour is simple even without case or bullet feeders. It's a very well made reloading press and in my opinion a tremendous value!

The only fault I find is it won't function with extruded powder, only ball or flake. It's a great press for those who don't use extruded powders. Really works great loading pistol cartridges.

The press feels so solid and operates the smoothest of any progressive press that I have tried. Caliber changeover is a snap. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
Excellent Design - Quality Press

I purchased mine over 3 years ago and have about 30,000 rounds through it of mixed 9 mm, 40 S&W, 45 ACP, .223 and .308. I've broken a few parts during that time while on the learning curve but Hornady replaced them no questions asked. Once you learn when and where not to apply force during the press cycle this machine will keep going and going. Another hint is to keep it clean of spilled powder and other debris. I use a can of compressed air to periodically clear the shell plate area and everything stays as reliable as ever. I'm sold on my 'red machine.'

First of all, I shoot and reload close to 5000 rounds a year. Mainly in 223 Rem and 204 Ruger, some handgun but not much. I shoot prairie dogs and other fur bearing creatures. I load all my rifle and pistol ammo on this press. I was a bit skeptical before I bought this, from all the people online in the forums. Those people that are saying bad things must not have ever used one or something because, I'm here to tell you, I am sure glad I bought this press. Best investment I have made in my reloading equipment. If I had to reload this much on a single stage, I probably wouldn't shoot this much. Don't listen to the "blue" kool-aid drinkers, get the Hornady!
Very excellent product!

I couldn't be happier. I bought this press over 2 years ago and have loaded 15K plus rounds on it. I am a competitive pistol shooter and load mainly 9's and 40's. It is a very solid, beefy built press. I did break a part within the first 3 months of having the press. It wasn't Hornady's fault it was the operator's. One quick call to Hornady's customer service and I had replacement parts in the mail. Hands down best company. I wouldn't go with any other brand progressive press.
